Child ADHD Assessment

Part of our Child and Adolescent Psychometric Assessment Services

An ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) assessment is a comprehensive evaluation conducted to understand the individual’s behaviours and determine if an individual meets the diagnostic criteria for ADHD.

The assessment involves interviews, behavioural rating scales, clinical observation and feedback from parents and teachers to gain insightful information on their presenting behaviours which includes inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. A cognitive assessment is also included in this assessment to help determine executive functioning capacities and underlying intellectual ability.

On completion of this assessment when diagnostic criteria has been met, a paediatric review by a Paediatrician is recommended to confirm the underlying diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
