Did you know that Medicare Rebate is available for psychological therapy?

A referral is not required to access the service however, a Medicare Rebate is available for Psychological Therapy with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or Paediatrician.

Psychological Services are also claimable with most private health funds and HealthPoint claiming facilities are available at the service.

We are NDIS friendly.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding to support eligible people who have a disability.

Whilst we are not a NDIS registered provider, we are NDIS friendly. This means we can see NDIS Self-Managed and Plan-Managed participants.

We accept a range of options for payment of fees.

Fees are payable at the time of the consultation/treatment.

Appointment & Cancellation Policy

At Camden Child & Family Therapies, we understand that family life can be busy and sometimes unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 48 business hours’ notice.

If less than 48 business hours’ notice is provided, a cancellation fee will apply.

Why do we have this policy?

Your appointment time is set aside especially for you. Our psychologists prepare thoughtfully for each session, and once that time is booked, it is difficult to offer it to another family at short notice.

Providing 48 business hours’ notice allows us to:

  • Offer the appointment to another child or family who may be waiting.

  • Maintain consistency in care and therapeutic progress.

  • Support the sustainability of our small practice.

We genuinely understand that unexpected things happen. If there are exceptional circumstances, please reach out to our team as soon as possible so we can discuss your situation.

What do we mean by “business days”?

Business days are Monday to Friday and do not include weekends or public holidays. For example:

  • A Monday appointment would need to be cancelled by the Thursday before.

  • A Tuesday appointment would need to be cancelled by the Friday prior.
